Im not Dr. Graham, but I might be able to add some insight. Actually,
primates are not naturally water drinkers. As with humans, primates
aren't anatomically designed for water drinking (no natural water
collecting ability, like a beak, large lapping tongue, etc.).

You're right that our primary means of hydrating ourselves is through
eating a biologically correct diet~like eating an abundance of juicy
fruits. In addition, we maintain proper hydration by avoiding behaviors
that increase dehydration, such as eating salty foods, toxic foods, etc.

Dr. D covers this in his book, The 80/10/10 Diet.
