Dear Dr Graham,
it seems that the same old ideas about muscle and protein remain in the vegan and raw vegan body building world. After the evils of soy isolate were recognised, vegan nutritionists have persisted with the notion that protein is significant for muscle development other forms such as hemp, macca and spirulina. Is it simply the desire for extra large muscle that is the problem? We know now that physical growth from milk and soy protein can also foster cancer growth. Do you rest with the argument that one simply requires adequate exercise, sun, rest, emotional health etc.. to be as fit as they can? What do you say to the persistent theme in vegan and raw vegan nutrition about protein and muscle and to those who want to have large muscles?
Thank you kindly,
Bronwyn
