Dear Dr.Graham, please would you share your valuable wisdom on the following situation:
My 80 years old father in law is in our city for medical examinations – he has all sorts of health problems incl. diabetes, on sad diet. He was never interested in healthful living or diet, nor is he interested now. His daughter (also on sad) is instructing him according to sad standards what to eat and how to eat. I have no intention at all to interfere and impose anything on him. My only problem and concern is that he will stay with us for a few days and I don’t know how to feed him. What to offer him without causing problems and without confusing him further with offering him fruit (forbidden by his daughter)?
What would you offer an 80 year old very sick diabetic? Would you provide food according to his choice or understanding? How would you handle a situation like this?
This forum is an invaluable source of education and support for me. Thank you so much!
Raw Princess
