We all want to see you succeed, of course. I recommend meals over snacks. If a meal doesn't hold you till the next meal, you just plain didn't eat enough fruit, or the fruit wasn't sweet enough. Also, I recommend that you start your dinner meal with enough fruit to be sure that you are satisfied, THEN move on to the vegetables. This guideline invariably proves useful, again and again, until you are sure you have a good handle on how much fruit you really need. Rapid changes in weight are a reflection of your level of hydration.
