Why do you drink upon arising? Is there some specific reason, such as thirst, or do you just think you "should?"
I almost never drink upon arising, but not because I think I shouldn't, but because I am usually not thirsty when I first wake up.
It won't hurt you to drink, unless you are drinking more water than you require in order to stay properly hydrated.
