Well, I don't know about you, but I have a voice (my own?) in my head constantly talking, making observations, judging, evaluating, etc. I have taken in so much information in my life. When the knowledge I have is conflicting it causes an emotional reaction. Can be quite disconcertng, at times, to say the least. I've read several of Don Miguel Ruiz's books (The Four Agreements, etc.) He calls the voices "mitote"...all the information & beliefs we have programed in our minds...a concept based on ancient Toltec knowledge...kind of like a virus or parasite that takes control of us. For me, getting off various drugs, stimulants, foods, beliefs, etc. has left me feeling vulnerable & confused at times. The beliefs I have built up over a lifetime are often challenged & shown to be lies. Trying to justify & continue to hold on to those lies can be quite painful, emotionally. Just a few thoughts, not sure where they lead. :)
