| Subject: | For Dr. Graham about Grain Damage, citrus and pineapples |

Hello Dr. Graham,
I've just read Grain Damage and I think it contains crucial
informations about nutrition, but there was something that
confused me a bit.
I'd like to make you a few questions in order to help me
better understand the 80/10/10 lifestyle.
Speaking about mucus, you say: "If you put lemon juice in
your mouth, for example, the strong ascorbic acid would
actually burn the lining of your mouth were it now for the
mucous membrane. Should the lemon juice remain in your
mouth, you would continue to produce mucus until the acid
was sufficiently diluted or swallowed. Many people
mistakenly beleive they are ridding their body of mucus by
drinkin lemon juice. This is not so; they are simply causing
their digestive tract to produce mucus in response to the
lemon juice".
According to this, it seems that lemon juice is not good for
us, since the body reacts against it producing mucus.
First question: I know that lemon is a good fruit, but
considering the above it seems that is not, or at least its
juice.
Is it true?
If yes, can you please explain why, considering that it is a
common "healthy" fruit?
Second question: I think pineapple is a fantastic fruit that
should be consumed just like bananas, papayas, ecc. also as
a monomeal.
Do you agree?
Third question: always speaking about pineapple, I think it
causes burning tongue/mouth and teeth sensitivity just when
it is not completely ripe or picked too unripe.
Do you agree?
Are there other reasons for the common reactions it causes
amongst people?
Third question: do you think, in general, that
citrus/agrumes should be limited (or even totally avoided)
because they corrode the tooth enamel and cause dental
problems?
It's all for now, I'm waiting forward for your answers since
The 80/10/10 System is radically improving my life and I
really want it to be completely clear for me.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards
Augusto
