With the normal intake of calories for a man, five tablespoons of flax, (used as the only overt for the day), allows one to stay below 10% fat intake. The idea was to get as much O3 fat as possible without going above the overall 811 limit. With a woman's reduced caloric intake, one would reduce the amount of flax to stay below the 10% limit. My normal way of consuming the flax is to eat it with an acid fruit. I suppose you could blend them together to use as a salad dressing...but I enjoy eating them unblended together. ric
