I believe the year was 1994, in May. I was helping a friend do some fence work in the tropics. Lots of standing still holding things, not able to fend off mosquitoes. Dengue is not fun, for sure. My case was relatively mild, I am told. 3 days of feeling terrible, the middle of those three days I had to travel from CR to FL. Could barely walk off of the airplane.
