Dr. Graham, Many years ago I did a long fast (for spiritual reasons), 20 days of one meal a day, and 20 days of pure water. I noticed that after the fast, I could no longer digest animal protein, and even a meal of cooked starch would sit in my stomach for hours, unmoved. Later through blood test, it revealed that I'm low on stomach acid. In all of your experiences with conducting fasting, is it normal for a person to lose some of their stomach acid (HCL) after a prolong fast? What is your recommendation for low HCL? supplement or just let the body naturally take it's course, and only eat fruits and tender veggies? Thanks! Jennie
