Agreed, durian is more difficult to digest than, say, watermelon. Agreed, durian has a higher fat content than most other sweet fruits. Agreed, living on solely durian is not a recommended health practice. Agreed, living on durian would not put you within the CNR recommendations listed in The 80/10/10 Diet. The "diabetes breeding ground" you spoke of is not about whether you eat fat and sugar at the same meal, but whether the fat and sugar are in your blood stream at the same time. So, for instance, using the example you gave, if you had the "couple of avocados" for breakfast and had the "dates" for lunch, there is a strong likelihood that the fat from the avos would still be in your bloodstream, making sugar processing far more difficult.
