Why do you feel you are lacking vitamin E?

Vitamin E Deficiency Symptoms in Adults
Mild hemolytic anemia
Nonspecific neurological deficits
Disorders related to reproduction and infertility
Fragile red blood cells
Age spots
Cataracts
Neurological damage
Decrease in sex drive
Muscle, liver, bone marrow and brain function abnormalities.
Apart from these symptoms, one may also observe loss of hair, muscular weakness, leg cramps as well as gastrointestinal disorders due to vitamin E deficiency. Lack of vitamin E in the body causes the RBC cells to become fragile. It may also lead to decrease in blood circulation within the body. Enlarged prostate, impotency, muscular wasting are some other effects of vitamin E deficiency.

There is nothing mentioned about dry mouth in the above list. In fact I assume that you'd have to be quite low on vitamin E to get any of these and for a long period of time.

One thing to know about 80/10/10 is that it is not about getting more of any vitamin or mineral but about getting enough of everything in the correct proportion. If done correctly as per the book, this is what you will achieve. Don't look for a cause for every little symptom. Instead keep doing the diet as prescribed and accept that there will be minor aches and pains here and there as with any changes in your lifestyle. If they don't go away after a few weeks then come back and ask questions and see what other people have experienced. Most people can go on without almonds or any sort of nuts or seeds for decades without any symptoms. Vitamin E is found in many sources of food such as spinach and apricots so there is no need to eat almonds unless you really enjoy them.

The main point is that we should not self-diagnose symptoms. We should wait and see if they persist a long time. We should not also self-prescribe a change in diet due to this self-diagnosis. There is no need to micromanage the diet at that level.
