“NO OVERTS PLUS”

“NO +.” Or “NOP.” That is, “No Overts Plus.”

That is the diet I am on currently.

Yes it is a Raw, Low Fat, Vegan Frugivore Diet. Same as always. But I have taken it a step or two beyond, at least for a day or two.

I am not only foregoing all “overt fats” (raw nuts, seeds or avocados) but I am also foregoing any of the denser, low fat fruits, like bananas and dates.

And I am having no leafy greens either. Although the greens are low fat, they do have a good bit of protein. But perhaps more importantly, the greens are slower to digest, because their fiber is not as smooth as that of fruits. So I am dropping the greens for a while. Greens are not a part of the NO+ Diet.

I needed this. Although I have been doing regular No Overts for about a month solid, (and doing excellent, by the way) my body and digestive system really needed a little extra break for a few days.

And just one day on NO+ and my mind is clearer. So is my digestion.

I mean, typical No Overts is an energizer in itself, and a great change up from standard Low Fat Frugivore (“80-10-10") diet, because you are eliminating the fats and your digestion gets a break. But sometimes, when you are doing No Overts, you have to go a step further.

One idea is to not eat anything at all for a day, or a half day. Just water.

OR, you can just do NO+.

Incidentally, an all-citrus diet would be a form of NO+. But a mono diet of just bananas would not. Because the bananas are too dense for NO+.

But I will eat some greens later, probably, and I might even have some blended bananas. And I will be back on standard NO.

Or I may not. We will see. Maybe I will do NO+ for another day or so.

But I wanted to introduce you to the fact that even us Advanced Frugivores (AF) “shift gears” sometimes. There are all kinds of nuances and tricks to making your frugivore diet work to your fullest advantage. And it takes time to get to know your body and how it responds to various techniques.

Anyway, I am always coming up with all these names for various levels of this diet. And I just now invented this phrase. “No Overts Plus.” Abbreviated “NO+.”

After five years sharing and learning with other frugivores on the internet discussion forums, I have gleaned a lot of inside information. I have helped a lot of people and I have learned a lot myself. That is what the forums are for.

Nobody else has ever put a name to this particular eating style.

So what you eat on NO+ is things like oranges and orange juice, grapes, watermelon, mangoes, and other low fat sweet fruits. Also included are tomatoes ( a non sweet, low fat fruit). Tomatoes are a little more alkaline than the sweet fruits and they help balance things a tad.

Again, the idea is to eliminate (temporarily) the denser fruits like bananas and dates. Although you can have tomatoes, you also eliminate celery or red/yellow bell peppers, two traditionally accepted No Overts foods. Celery and red bell peppers also digest a tad too slowly for the rarified air of the NO+ participant.

Incidentally, green bell peppers are not ripe and they should be avoided by all advanced frugivores.

And again, just like on regular No Overts (NO), you forego all overt fats.

These are some of the subtle nuances you gravitate towards when you have been doing the frugivore diet for a long time.

NO+ is not a diet you want to live on forever. But it is a nice respite and gives your body added rest from digestion whenever you wish to do it.

An advanced frugivore can safely do NO+ for a month or more. But a beginner would probably find it too challenging. It is not something I recommend for beginners, but it certainly can be done by anyone if they set their mind to it.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. I think even a lot of my Frugivore Friends will appreciate what I am saying here and nod their heads in agreement.

So, The Great Maltron has done it again. “NO+,” ladies and gentlemen. Shout it from the rooftops.

And P.S., I also invented another moniker just now.... “AF,” for “Advanced Frugivore.”

Hey, the Frugivore movement is in its infancy (in modern times), and some new names and classifications are needed. Just the kind of job for the Great Maltron.

Have a good day.
