Long story short: Cycling accident, sharp impact fall, face into concrete, one of front teeth broke off, uncle dentist repaired with composite plastic. Around 6 weeks later, started to notice sensitivity and pain in the region. Uncle suggsted that since the fracture of the tooth was close to the nerve, a root canal treatment may be required. I asked whether we know if the nerve needs to be addressed for sure. He said only acute pain will tell that, a sharp kind. I said I would rather monitor it for a few weeks and if such a pain occurs, I will call him. X-rays shows that the fracture to the tooth is quite deep, and very close to the nerve. Question: anything to watch out for with root canal treatments/aftermath consequences/symptoms? Any suggestions welcome Thanks P
