The Hawaiian Durian cost situation sounds like Harley's description of Australia...where everything is locally grown, (no imports), and thus there is no competition. There’s no competition for fresh Durian in Hawaii, hence the sky is the limit.

Thanks for the earlier tip on Jourdan’s. I'm really enjoying his products...things I’ve never tried. I’m currently waiting for my latest stash of Black Sapote (pictured) to ripen, and just ordered some Sapodilla. I watched a couple youtube vids on Jackfruit tonight, looking forward to my first try of that when it’s back in season.
