When I'm out for the day, I will sometimes bring one or two 32-oz
smoothies with me. I totally agree that an oxidized banana smoothie
isn't appealing, so the only way I can do this is by blending frozen fruit
in with the bananas. I like adding in mixed berries, cherries, or a
raspberry-mango combo. The smoothies stay far fresher-tasting this
way (to me). You might also try using assorted fresh fruits and ice with
the bananas, though that doesn't usually work as well for me.

Ideally, I'm able to keep the smoothies in a small cooler bag or
refrigerator until I eat them.

Another option might be to drink one smoothie on your way to work
and have some easy-to-carry fruit (clementines and apples, for
example) and/or a large salad with a little fat at lunch, and then munch
on some light fruit (berries, grapes*) in the car on your way home and
have the rest of your fruity calories and greens once you arrive home.

P.S. I never have luck bringing whole bananas with me on the road,
either.

P.P.S. *Weirdly, I choke on grapes easily, so I don't eat these when
driving. =)
