By the way, we don't eat oil, any type of salt, or juice. These are not whole foods. Whole foods are not missing anything. Oil is missing everything except mostly the oil. Salt is missing carbon, thus making it an inorganic mineral. Juice is missing fiber. Cooked foods are not whole because nutrients are lost from the cooking process and because new chemicals are created. Whole foods are a package of intact nutrients that come directly from the plant from nature. Intact means that they have all of their physical parts, and those parts are not changed. We're talking on the microscopic level. You have to cut it up (with teeth or a knife) and chew it in order to digest it, of course. Do you buy your fruits in bulk (in boxes)? We eat much fruit because it is not calorie dense. I buy the fruits in bulk once a week. I buy the greens individually, usually once a week at the same time as the fruit. Bananas are a good source of calories, but include other fruits too. Make sure that you are eating enough carbohydrates. We eat much more volume than cooked-food people eat. You'll benefit if you have as many of these characteristics on your plate as possible: * low-fat * whole * fresh * ripe * raw * organic * fruits (things with seeds) and greens (including celery) Eat at least a pound of greens per day, about a head of romaine lettuce. The rest is fruit, including non-sweet fruit such as tomatoes and cucumbers.
