Hi Shannon,

Wow, glad I asked. By any chance do you have Dr. Graham's book, The 80-10-10 Diet, which stands for at least 80% carbohydrate and no more than 10% protein and 10% fat? The ideal is 80-10-10 raw vegan. No salts of any kind (including celtic sea salt), no fermented foods or vinegars (including apple cider vinegar), no refined oils (including flax, olive, or any other oil), onions are not recommended, etc. If any overt fat (such as nuts, seeds, avocado), just a small amount, such as an ounce of nuts OR a half of an avocado in a day. If a person is having blood sugar problems, it is even more imperative to keep the fat intake low, perhaps even cutting out ALL overt fats for a time (getting all fats from raw non-fatty-fruits [avocado is a fatty fruit] and greens only). Wow, I'm making it sound like this diet is about what we can't eat. Actually, it's about all we CAN eat -- as much fresh, ripe, raw, organic fruits and greens as we care for! Abundance! :)

Of course, the alcohol, stress, lack of sleep, fresh air, and sunshine will take a toll as well.

I highly suggest getting a hold of The 80-10-10 Diet as soon as possible, reading, and implementing it. Blood sugar problems (which, are really blood fat problems) are regulated in no time at all when following 811rv (shorthand for 80-10-10 raw vegan). Check it out at Dr. Graham's website, www.foodnsport.com, where you can also get loads of other great information.

Hope this helps, Shannon. Feel free to ask more questions if you'd like.
