For me, less fiber equals less digestive issues. (Disadvantages of a diet high in fiber is the potential for significant intestinal gas production and bloating.)

Although the most likely cause of problems is fructose malabsorption. Glucose helps with the absorption of fructose so, one would try to avoid fruits that carry (a lot) more fructose than glucose, such as apples, pears, watermelon, mango and others. Unless one supplies extra glucose.

Other possible sources of gut irritants: alkaloids form e.g. nightshades, oxalic acid from e.g. spinach, fructans form various vegetables, sugar alcohols (polyols) like sorbitol, hormones like dopamine/serotonin precursor from bananas etc.
