I need some help, please guys and Dr Graham.
I bought The 80/10/10 diet book and have been trying to follow as best I can for 6 months now. Though my percentages are 811, in all fairness I can't say I do 811 because I still struggle to get enough greens in and I don't get enough sun(New York)and sleep. I'm working on those though.
Here is my most pressing problem. I'll be 100% raw for about 3 weeks eating about 2700 sweet fruit cals a day. By that time my belly becomes very bloated and every meal I eat causes a lot of discomfort. So to stop this feeling of discomfort I cut back on calories, eating about 1700 a day. I start feeling less bloated but then I get massive cravings that drive me to cooked foods. I'll eat cooked foods for about a week or so,disgusted with myself I might add, then pull myself up back and start again. And like clockwork the same thing happens again. That's been happening for 6 mths now. I need to eat enough to stop the cravings but then I get a lot of gas. I eat less to stop the gas and I fall back to cooked foods. What to do? I'm in a catch 22.
Some other info:
I am 49yrs. 6' 185lbs. I lift weight 1-2 times a week and my job isn't physically demanding. I'm not fat or overweight(looking) but I would like to go down to a raw 160lbs.
