Hi vic, I believe all 5 facets of fitness that Dr. Graham promotes are essential: 1. cardio-pulmonary/aerobic endurance 2. muscular strength 3. muscular endurance 4. flexibility and 5. neurological/neuro (balance, coordination, reflexes -- balance with eyes closed, juggle on unstable surfaces, etc.) Of course, you'll want to focus on your weakest link first. You'll also want to "look at all five facets and develop percentages of them that most accommodate your fitness goals." [Perfect Health Program] Improving all five facets will definitely improve your endurance performance AND aid in preventing injuries. Hope this helps. :)
