You're welcome. That sounds like a good idea to participate in non-combat sports. Foil fencing is an exception because fencers wear a wire-mesh mask and a canvas jacket. A foil is a type of weapon used in fencing, which has a blunt tip and flexes (arcs) when pushed into something. Foil fencing only uses the tip. I fenced foil recreationally at the Pennsylvania State University.
