Dearest Vickie,
I had a couple late nights at work and a very busy weekend, but wanted you to know that you were in my thoughts. I see that KT1 hit on the emotional aspect of the lifestyle -- right on! You may want to check out a previous post I made, which includes links to some of Rozi's wonderful talks on this subject:

And, another, with info on a really helpful article by Rozi:

See? You are not alone in these struggles, Vickie!
Also, in an effort to calm those self-defeating voices in your head saying you aren't doing this "perfectly," I wanted to send some of Dr. Graham's encouraging quotes from The 80-10-10 Diet your way:
"Direction is more important than speed for most people when it comes to successful transition." p. 162
"Succeeding on 80/10/10 is simply a matter of adjusting the volume of the foods you eat, in relation to each other, to move yourself in the direction of your target. Gradually increasing healthful carbs from whole fruit and decreasing fat will work just fine and is far better than making no change at all. . . . Just giving conscious thought to what you eat with the caloronutrient ratio in mind is a first step in the right direction." p. 77
"Approaching 80/10/10 with a focus toward the foods and other practices to add into your life, rather than those to eliminate, can make all the difference in your success -- and enjoyment of -- the 80/10/10 plan." p. 165
"I recommend that the transition from standard American raw to 811 be done as follows: - Increase the percentage of whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic plants in your diet, at each meal. - Increase the percentage of fruit in your diet, at the beginning of each meal. - increase the total carbs in your diet, at each meal. - Increase the quantity of fresh whole ripe raw organic greens in your diet until you reach close to 3% of total daily calories or slightly more. - Increase the amount of sleep you get until you can honestly say that you are getting "enough" each night. - Increase the amount of physical activity you perform until it accounts for a minimum of 1/5 of your total calories used." p. 165
Please be gentle with yourself, Vickie. We're rooting for you. :)
