I am so sorry your dear Aunt is still eating the same way. Even if she were to make just 1 or 2 changes, it would probably go a long way in helping her recovery. I hope she will see that in the days ahead.
And you are so right, if they let themselves understand on that forum, then they'd have to admit that they were wrong. So much ego involved.
Christopher, this is yet ANOTHER of those times I wish we could suddenly be in the same room, those of us of like minds, and have a good old downhome chat! Boy howdy, would we ever have a "chin wag" as they say. You, me, Just Me, KT1, my husband and a few others. I bet we could talk for DAYS. -- you all could tie me down when I broke out into a cold sweat wanting my cooked evening meal. LOL
I agree with you in all you said about the doctors here and the reasons you stated. As we know, the body is the healer, not the doctor. Drugs mask the symptoms, drugs CAUSE disease and they adversely affect the immune system. Most doctors don't seem to know this or care. Dr. Lorraine Day said that pharma companies "court a doctor the way a man courts a beautiful woman" -- they send them gifts, gratis vacations, you name it. No wonder drugs are prescribed so widely. And you check on wikipedia and SEE what these main companies gross yearly. When I looked at some of this, my mouth fell open. Billions. And like the old saying goes, "him who gots the gold makes the rules". Don't we just know it?
I'm so sorry your uncle and cousin can't see the logic of what you know to be right. You express yourself to concisely and sensibly. That just goes to show us how deeply ingrained traditions are. People just keep going back to the same old failures.
And here, yet again, is another "chin wagging" topic that we'd all be discussing: You said: "I do a lot of observation how people die." Did you know, Christopher, that I have this past year begun doing the same? For example, my husband and I will be sitting in the living room, and we often have these conversations -- I will bring up the name of someone we know who has passed away, and in light of what we now know and are endeavoring to practice about diet -- I will say to my husband: "If so-and-so had done this-and-such, do you think he/she would have lived LONGER?" -- or I'll say: "Where did so-and-so go wrong? How could he/she have turned the tide?" --- and we sit there, think about it, and discuss what they could have done differently to add a few more years.
If only I could be that objective with MYSELF. "cast the mote out of thine own eye first" type thing. I've got to get a handle on that. Can you see how if we were all together, we'd talk for HOURS?
There is a story I want to tell you, which I will at a later time. Just a little something that happened to me.
"People keep repeating the same mistakes that other people make." Oh yes. Lord yes.
"The moral of the story is to not be your worst enemy and to learn from other people's mistakes."
There is a world of wisdom in this. Thank you.
"Change your internal environment and think positively." --- Thank you, this resonates in my heart so fully sa truth, and I'm doing it now.
You've said so many things that have affected me in a positive way on this board. You have helped me so much by not just your words of wisdom but by your example of always being kind and understanding and patient with others. THANK YOU for all that, Christopher. The world is made a much better place by you being here.
I hope your Aunt gets well. And don't let anyone's puffed up narrow-mindedness dampen your beautiful spirit. They will see, as time passes, that you are right.
