Subject:         Combat sports and brain damage

Hello Dr. D, how are you doing?
You're the only health/fitness professional I trust hehe so I
came here to ask some questions about combat sports and brain
damage.

It's known that combat sports, in long-term, cause brain
damage, mainly when it comes to those that you get hit in the
head a lot, obviously (boxing, for example). I, for one, am a
big fan of taek-won-do, but I'm afraid to suffer some kind of
damage in long-term. I'm not that big fan of fighting, but
taek-won-do is an art in my opinion. So, my questions:

-Is brain damage really permanent? I mean, with 811rv can one
get cured from a "permanent" brain damage?
-What is your take on combat sports?
