I have been overt-fat free since the beginning of January 2011, a year and one month. I have no problems. You don't need overt fats as long as you are eating enough calories and greens (at least a head of lettuce per day). I bought nine heads of romaine lettuce and three heads of celery for this week (seven days), so that's more than enough greens. I buy every Tuesday from a co-op, ordering on Mondays. Today's order was:
I always buy 100% organic.
1 case x tomatoes = $38.00
1 case x bananas = $28.00
1 case x dates = $79.00
1/2 case x red peppers = $18.00
3 x celery, 2.30 each = $6.90
9 x romaine lettuces, $1.88 each = $16.92
Subtotal = $186.82
10% for handling = $18.68
Total = $205.50
The dates will carry over for a few weeks, so the cost of them also carries over. I have ripe bananas from last week. The bananas that I just bought will not be ripe until next Sunday to Tuesday, based on past experience from buying bananas every week.
