Hi Rachael,
I really like Dr. Graham's post to Bee, which says:
"I would suggest persistence as your best course of action. Continue striving to eat larger meals, continue striving to increase and improve your fitness training, and continue to take great care of yourself in every way you can. Health accrues over time, and never as quickly as anyone wishes it to.
Persist. There is no magic, no secret, nothing special to do. Healthful living brings health."
Hope you like it, too.
Also, Dr. Graham advised me early on in personal coaching,
"You will learn the volume lesson, over time, by 'getting it right' again and again, and also when you get it wrong."
AND
"Be like a cow. When you are hungry, eat. Sleepy? Sleep. You will learn soon enough that if you want to eat enough bananas to hold you for 4-5 hours, you are going to have to eat a serious quantity. Nothing wrong with that."
Over time (about 5 months), and with Dr. Graham's coaching, I got to the place of eating but two or three meals per day and I no longer get hungry in between meals. Dr. Graham has said that he has learned that about 15 bananas will hold him for about 5 hours; same with 8 large hachiyas. For me, I've found that eight or nine hachiya persimmons can hold me for up to 8 hours or so. So nice to have my time freed up for other activity. :)
