Rachel, I believe you are getting confused, at least somewhat, because your training has been, by your own admission, sporadic at best, while your eating has been, again by your own admission, (at least on 30BAD) all over the place. I realize your running is important to you, and your success is important to me. I suggest that your running suffered because you weren't training, and weren't eating as well as you could have, as well as because you gained a bit of weight. BUT, and this is an important concern, when you were at 8% body fat, if that was an accurate assessment, you were not at a healthy point, even if your running was fast. Your health would have broken down, and so too would your running have crashed. I recommend consistency; in diet, sleep, training, and personal development. Please, keep us posted.
