So nice to read your post...not feeling so alone... I never use dressings... My salad tonight was two heads green lettuce, two celery heads and one large tomato. The tomato provides more than enough flavor for me. If I am all out of tomatoes, an orange will do...but I do prefer the savory tomato with greens. I know the usual 811 dressings are made with an overt and an acid fruit, (and maybe some cucumber to thin it out if needed)...but, what I end up doing is making a separate meal later with my citrus and/or strawberry and some flax or chia. No blending here...just eat them whole and separate, (but together). No mess, no blending, little clean up. (Flax does need to be ground up.) I like things simple. Had some nice bike rides today. I did a night ride in the pouring rain earlier this week, 44 degrees F, (6.7 C). I did a low teens ride, (-10 C), with zero wind chill, (-17.7C), last week. Before lfrv I was very adverse to cold weather...now I thrive in all extremes. A lot of my work is outside, so it is nice to be acclimated and comfortable with the weather, whatever it is, (thanks to lfrv). all the best, ric
