I grew up in a town near Edison's birthplace town, (Milan, OH). Here is Edison's famous quote on health and diet...Snopes confirmed it's authentic to Edison, (1902):

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."

Here is another Edison quote I recently found:

"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
