Hi smile,

I didn't read Dr. Graham's response as denying there is sugar in fruit -- just that it ALSO provides water and fiber, which gels do not.

I'm wondering why my dentist has been so pleased with my teeth and gums for the past year plus that I have been eating a primarily fruit-based diet? Prior to this, I had to get the plaque chiseled from my teeth every six months (and, no, I am not exaggerating with the word, "chiseled."). Oral hygiene has remained the same, EXCEPT I no longer drink fluoridated water or use fluoridated toothpaste. I still floss once or twice a day and brush two or three times a day though.

Oh, and I no longer use sports gels.

Hmmm . . .

But, that's Just Me.
