Hi, My 12 yr old son (who is not 811, unfortunately) cut the bottom of his foot outside two days ago. He's never been vaccinated but I'm worried about Tetanus. There's so much convlicting information out there! My midwife told me that if a wound is bleeding you can't get Tetanus since the Tetanus bacteria can't live in an oxygenated environment. I can't find anything online to back this up, though. Does anyone know about this? Should I take him in? VacLib.org and other sites say the vaccination doesn't work and there is the risk of side effects but even more sites say to get the vaccine since Tetanus is so dangerous. Thank you so much for any advice! I'm a scared mom trying to make the best decision for her son. Trese
