It sounds like you're panicking after going thru a mighty stressful situation. Emotional upheaval will leave the mouth dry and bring on burning eyes and a tired, surreal feeling.

Forget trying to force yourself to sleep. Stop panicking and trust your body. It'll sleep when it's darn good and ready.

What can the medical establishment do for you? Give you drugs? That won't solve your problem. It'll likely only make things worse.

Stay hydrated. Stress causes dehydration. So what if you have to get up to pee. People do it all the time.

You probably got more sleep than you realize in those couple hours.

If you wanna talk about some of what happened to get you in this state, feel free. Folks here will likely help put your mind at ease and reassure you it ain't the end of the world for you.
