| Subject: | Still can't fall asleep and my mouth is dry as sand |

I am on day 5 now without real sleep, just laying in bed with my eyes closed (except for last night when I fell asleep for not even 2 hours and then work up and couldn't fall asleep again.)
Now I am in a situation where my mouth is feeling EXTREMELY dry and hot and no amount of water will stop it from feeling this way. Plus drinking water will only make me have to keep getting up to urinate at night. (I looked on-line and saw several sources saying that dryness of the mouth is often due to stress and anxiety so I'm guessing that's why I'm experiencing it.)
I don't know how to fall asleep with my mouth this dry and hot. Does anyone here have any advice for me? I've never felt this in danger before. I feel like I can't put off seeking medical intervention much longer.
What's odd though is that I have only been yawning once or twice a day. My eyes are burning and I don't feel up to doing much physical activity, but I just don't feel tired enough to fall asleep. I don't understand how I can go this long without sleep and not just pass out from tiredness.
