Subject:	Root canal-good or bad?

Hi Doug,

What's your view on root canals? I've heard they're not meant
to be good for you? (interferes with immune/circulatory
system). Is it healthier just to have the tooth out? A year
after being told this, my tooth is still pain free, after
initial pain and my dentist said the abscess is draining fine.

What happens in nature? Do primates just have to put up with
teeth that have gone bad and do they fall out naturally in
time? Oh, just realised, they don't eat cooked food, so
probably don't face this problem!
