Some of my relatives in colder climates also battle with eating raw all
winter, they want to feel warmed by their food.
One of them set up a make shift wind screen in her back yard so she
can sit out on sunny cold days and she stays quite warm in the direct
sun.
Also, Dr. Graham mentions on one of his youtube videos that the
best way to stay warm all winter is to move, and move a lot. I find on
colder days that if I start the day with some physical exercise, I don't
need as many layers of clothes the rest of the day and I'm less
sensitive to the cold.
Also, when we eat raw fruit, a lot of times it is room temperature, not
"cold", so if you keep fruit stored under your stove lamp, and the
house is chilly, then at least the fruit warms up a little and it won't be
cooling the body down more.
Good luck to you and your husband!
