Many ill people, among them me and my aunt, have had blood tests done during their sicknesses and the doctor could not do a diagnosis (nothing "wrong"). It is information, of course, but a very partial one, because we ignore too much about life, we are very far from the whole picture.
On the other hand maybe the blood test before is a good idea, but not one during the fast, the body has to replace that blood on no food regime, I think this is bad idea. For a weak person, extracting blood is an aggression for the body (this happened to me).
And I doubt if the after test is a good or bad idea, maybe three weeks later is a good idea.
And it is very possible than this woman in particular died because of a medical negligence or drug reaction. Mainstream doctors make too much mistakes lately, I know a few personal cases. Common sense is out of their profession nowaydays, in general.
