I Thought I could be an 80/10/10 athlete just like that too, but it takes many months/years to see significant results. I was overconfident and thought I could add miles faster, but ended up with injuries a couple times in a row, that really hurt my reputation as a raw foodist :( Also, different courses make so much difference. There are too many variables between races to judge the effect of diet. My husband eats The Fruit Predominant Diet (much the same as your diet) and ran 3 marathons this summers - Newport OR 4:37 (easy course) Seattle OR 4:07 (harder course) Pocatello ID 4:34 (easy course) No rational pattern... kind of mixed up results.
