I can tell you my experience from this summer. I was tired and sore from a hard workout and bent over to pick up a huge watermelon and hurt my lower back (right side). When I looked in the mirror I could see my hips were not even which made my torso look crooked too. I went to the chiro too and it helped somewhat. But when the chiro was digging around on my lower back he hit the sore spot and then I felt intense pain go down the inside of my right inner thigh to my knee. The doc said I need to roll that area with my foam roller. When I got home I started rolling and had severe tightness all the way down my inner thigh and a huge knot near my knee. So I started rolling that area and after rolling it 2x day for 7 days all the pressure was released and my back got better quickly. The knot I had was so tight it was pulling on my hip which threw my back out. Not that you have the same problem I do but just wanted to share.
