Subject:         Fruit & Cooked Foods during Transition

In a discussion below (yesterday, I believe) Dr. Graham, you said that it seems sugar and cooked foods don't go well together, making the transition phase difficult.

I have seen this in my experience. I think I get indigestion when I eat fruit if I had cooked food the day before. So it causes bacterial growth in my gut (because I was still negative for candida) and also makes me feel sluggish and bloated. But if I am eating 811 I am fine, and digest much better. I can even tolerate cooked non-starchy vegetables.

The only way for me to have a cooked meal is if I am VERY Careful the next day, to eat in small enough quanitities that digestion will be smooth. And lots of water. And sometimes a probiotic.

It's a hassle for me but I don't think I'm ready to commit to 100% 811rv :(

... So I can just hope I am not ruining my health. I have noticed sugar doesn't mix with cooked foods, but hopefully that's not WORSE than eating no fruit at all.

Any further suggestions for getting through the transition phase?
