Basically you want a full program for care and feeding your little one.
:)

First, relax about the teeth. Start now to care for them properly.
Brush them 20 to 30 minutes after meals.

Once the microbe (typically it is strep mutans) has been transferred,
there is really no point in worrying about transferring it further.

A good program of dental hygiene will work just fine to protect those
baby teeth. There are special brushes designed to clean around the
gum line. Use one of those before regular brushing.

Not to knock Fred, but your baby's teeth may need special care at this
or some point. There are specific tooth care products for each type of
issue.

If you are not seeing decay in the teeth, that's wonderful. If you do
see some decay, we can deal with the appropriate measures at that
time.

Your baby's gums will likely respond and repair themselves. The
plaque may resolve from regular brushing, but if not, it can be
removed by you, or a hygienist, when your baby is mature enough to
let you do it, which will be very soon.

Baby's dietary preferences change. Don't fret. Just keep offering fruits
and veggies, in forms that your baby finds appealing.
