There is no cure for Type 1 Diabetes. I recommend a stimulated C-peptide blood test done to confirm Type 1 vs. Type 2 to be sure, but if it is in fact Type 1 - make no mistake - THERE IS NO CURE. It is an autoimmune idease that attacks the insulin producing beta cells of the pancreas (known as islets of langerhorn) Anyone who tells you there ia cure, through a raw diet or otherwsie is a quack. PLEASE don't risk your child's health- see a reputable endocrinologist in your area and confirm the diagnosis. She could still be honeymooning, which is why insulin needs are fluctuating in response to certain foods. I have a Type 1 daughter, my husband is a Type 1 also.
