Went to see a doc (first time in maybe 10 years) and he said there was wax in my ear. He scooped it out with his handy tool and instantly I could hear normally. Yippee! Well worth the 65 bucks. He said it had probably been there for years. So undoubtedly fasting would be of no help, since I fasted for 28 days about a year and a half ago and it evidently had no effect on my earwax buildup.
