Great, if you can grow rice, I would love to see it. But you don't have
to. The cotyledon will tell you all you need to know. Before that,
potential sprouts are properly called germinates. So, you could say
you are germinating your rice, not sprouting it, if in fact it is actually
doing so.
As you said, perhaps some of it is not so severely cooked and will still
sprout. Perhaps. I have not been to Lundberg's factory, (if indeed they
themselves cook the rice) though I am sure it would be interesting to
do so.
