Dr. Graham I very much appreciate your encouragement. I believe that making dramatic and drastic changes in any aspect of your life will not yield the desired results because those changes are often short lived and unsustainable. Since turning 50 (6 years ago) I've experienced incredible, amazing transformation and this type of sustainable change does not happen over night or in a heartbeat. When I began practicing an extremely vigorous form of yoga at the age of 50 my goal was not to do handstands -- my goal was to get through my teacher's class without tripping on my feet! For real change to happen we need to set small attainable goals - - I keep my goals very fluid and I move towards what's working and allowing me to thrive rather than just survive. *********************************************** My intention is to have a large fruit salad for breakfast -- perhaps appples, bananas, strawberries and blueberries For Lunch - Romaine with oil / vinegar, hummus and toasted sesame seeds Dinner - 2 bananas **************************************** IS THIS NOT PROGRESS? I will track my results and report it to the list tomorrow, noting any benefit felt from reducing the fat.
