Typically, such markets sell to people who intend to cook the green mangoes, and the baby jak fruit. The green mangoes won't ripen properly. Truly ripe jak has no stickiness at all, but it must be fully ripened. Few people know what that means, as they tend to eat the jak too early. The baby jak come from young trees, btw, which cannot yet support a larger fruit. There are a variety of stages at which peanuts are sold.
