How we got to 14.3 trillion dollars National Debt:

It took 39 presidents to get the National Debt to 1 trillion dollars. Reagan doubled it his first four years.

1). Reagan added 1.9 trillion to the National Debt.

2). George Bush 1.5 trillion.

3). Bill Clinton 1.4 trillion.

4). George W. Bush 6.1 trillion.

5). B. Obama 2.4 trillion.

From 2001 to 2007, so called fiscal conservatives (Republicans) controlled both houses of Congress, the executive branch and the Supreme Court. This bunch of conservatives increased the debt limit 7 times without a whimper. This latest grandstanding will last until a Republican president is in office. History will not be reversed. They only worry about it when a Democratic president is in office.
