Right now all the republicans ignore him and make fun of him, not because they don't believe him, but because they want to deny him any credibility. If Al Gore came out and said you shouldn't eat meat, 90% of the population would just laugh at him.

Other than myself and my kids, I only know one other vegetarian. And the dozens of people I know that eat meat aren't going to stop for anything. I don't know of anything they are more passionate about than eating meat.

I think Al Gore knows, if he wants to have any kind of support at all, he better not dare go there.
