I gave a talk at our local library recently. Most in my town are like you, soowrong, and the narcissist, so only a few showed up.

To my surprise, a serial denier, and hater of Al Gore, who'd I'd tried to educate on AGW at the Rec. Ctr. for over a year showed up. After the presentation, he announced that he'd seen the light, and now accepts the science. How about that? As it turns out, he's a project engineer at one of the largest construction firms in Toledo.

Another person in attendance was the president of the city council of a city located very near Lake Erie. He would like to locate large wind turbines in the Lake, as would Toledo's representative, Marcy Kaptur. The two of them introduced themselves to each other, and talked for half an hour after the presentation.

Another attendee was a senior physics student, sent to my talk by her physics teacher, who I donated a DVD to. It was "Dimming the Sun", featuring Dr. James Hansen of NASA, one of soowrong's targets for hatred. She went away with more knowledge of global warming, and AGW than you, soowrong, or the narcissist will ever acquire.

Then, another committed skeptic, an instructor at Owens Community College, here in the Toledo area, surprised me with an invitation to talk on the subject to two of his civil engineering classes. I did. They video taped the presentation, and I allowed him to download about 15 megabytes of information I have on a stick, which I use to augment my talks. I got it from my friend, who is the head of the climate science program at Purdue Univ.

I must have done a pretty good job, because with what I left them, and what they remembered, one student gave my talk a few days later to another class. That's how to get the word out, to counter some of the ignorant people in our population.
