They are the states who take more federal dollars than they pay into the system. Lose the red states, and they would have to bring back slavery, since they're mainly a drag on the rest of the country. Alaska and the South are the biggest examples. And of course it's the GOP states that have the highest teen preg, highest divorce, highest poorn, lowest eduction. The two go hand in hand...
